February 13th
Tonight we did our presentations about technology in the classroom. I think they went pretty well. We also learned about Web Quests, which are great resources for students to visit to learn about things. I think that they would be very helpful in the classroom for some lessons. I don't think that every lesson should be taught using a web quest because I think that students need to learn how to look up things on their own. I do think that some lessons would be very neat to look up on a web quest though. I think it would help some students find things more interesting. I think that they are a good idea, but they should be used sparingly.

Paige-
I agree that not all lessons should be done using webquest; students should be looking up and researching work. I do have to give you guys your props for doing such a good job with your presentation. Me, I was really nervous. I do not know why I get that way in front of my peers. When I am in front of students, I have no problems giving presentations.
Hey- I did not know you went to Monmouth College, so did I! I graduated in 1996 with a Political Science degree.
I also agree with continuing to promote literacy skills for use away from the computer. I think that this type of instruction can lead to less active teacher interaction if it’s over used.
